The refugee crisis in Sudan began in the early 1960s when thousands of Eritreans fled their homes to seek refuge in neighbouring Sudan. This crisis has persisted for decades, exacerbated by the United Nations’ discontinuation of aid and the lack of international support. Consequently, refugee camps in these regions are engulfed in despair, anguish, and human suffering. These camps lack basic human necessities such as food, medical services, clean water, and, crucially, education.
Thousands of young refugees, filled with hopes and dreams for a better life, embark on perilous journeys away from the only home they have known, often facing insurmountable challenges along the way. In recent years, many refugees have tragically lost their lives in deserts and at sea. Some fall prey to Bedouin kidnappers who demand exorbitant ransoms.
First Pillar: Direct Financial Support
We provide direct financial assistance to orphans registered in schools across Sudan, Somalia, and Ethiopia. This support covers their necessities, such as clothing and shelter, and extends to aiding postsecondary students with their tuition fees.
Second Pillar: Educational Advancement
We strive to advance the education of these orphans by supplying books, equipment, and educational aids to students attending schools in Sudan, Ethiopia, and Somalia. Our goal is to equip them with the resources they need to succeed academically.
Third Pillar: Health Promotion
Promoting the health of our orphans is a top priority. We provide essential medical services to ensure their well-being, recognizing that good health is foundational to their ability to learn and grow.
Fourth Pillar: Comprehensive Family Support
We offer financial support to orphans and their families, addressing their needs across all aspects of life. This holistic approach ensures that families can provide a stable and nurturing environment for the children.
Your support can make a profound difference in the lives of orphans who are striving to continue their education. By sponsoring an orphan, you provide them with essential resources that cover their necessities, including:
